Virtual Boat Race - The Boat Race

On Saturday 13th June 2020 at 3pm (BST), Olympic, Paralympic, World Championship and club rowers, representing teams from Oxford and Cambridge, will compete in the MCH.London virtual boat race to raise funds for Power2Inspire, the charity that is focussed on inclusion through sport.

The two teams, named Oxford and Cambridge, will be made up of eight rowers each, with able-bodied, disabled, lightweight and openweight participants, and they will collectively row 6.8km.

The first two boats will start, crossing a finish line at 500 metres, then the second boats will start, and this will continue until all eight sets of boats have participated.

Rowers will compete on ergometers, which will add the scores from each crew together to create a combined boat score, with the first boat crossing the virtual finish line being determined the race winner.
